Clinical Internship Program

Being part of Team Honey means being part of a family, working together to revolutionize the way maternal and parental mental health is accessed and utilized. Our internship program offers the space, training, and support that you deserve on your path in this specialized vocation.

  • Overview

Our two semester multidisciplinary program offers individual, couples and group therapy opportunities, individual and group supervision, and didactic training focused on perinatal and parental mental health. Interns will have the opportunity to work with leaders in the maternal mental health field, develop a specialty in perinatal counseling, and gain an understanding of the operations in our momist™ organization.

  • Approach

We are deeply committed to workforce development in the perinatal mental health field. Unlike traditional clinical internships, our specialized supervision, niche training, and team collaboration provide an environment in which to guide you in your experience. We value our interns as team members and human beings on a path of both personal and professional development.

How to apply

Current masters level counseling, psychology and social work graduate students who have an interest in perinatal and parental mental health are encouraged to apply. Our intern cohorts begin four times per year and have limited space in order to ensure deserved attention and development on this path.

Our internship program is currently full until September 2025.

“My internship at honey was a dream. I had direct access to intelligent and empathetic clinical minds, everyone was more than willing to talk with me and lend their insight, and my ideas and thoughts were listened to. I learned an immense amount about perinatal mental health including content my graduate school did not offer. I grew more as a clinician during my time with Honey than in my entire graduate program.”
